Fall Heating Tune-Up Checklist

‍A little prep before your visit helps you get more out of it and know what to expect.

Before the Visit

A few minutes now makes the visit go faster and gives your technician a head start.

●     Write down which rooms never feel quite right, too cold, too drafty, whatever it is.

●     Note any noise, smell, or short cycling you have been living with. Small stuff is worth mentioning.

●     Clear a path to your furnace or air handler, and to the outdoor unit if you have a heat pump.

●     Have last winter's repair history handy. Even a rough memory helps.

What the Fall Heating Visit Covers

Here is how we describe it: a thorough inspection of your heating equipment to catch minor issues early, plus light adjustments to dial in performance and efficiency.

Typical heating-side items include:

●     Burners or heat strips, and ignition

●     Heat exchanger

●     Blower and airflow

●     Safety controls

●     Thermostat operation

●     For a heat pump, the defrost cycle and backup heat

Available as an add-on for an additional charge: filter change, coil cleaning.

After the Visit

We will give you the honest read. Sometimes a good repair is the right call, and we will tell you plainly when that is the case.

A repair starts with a chargeable diagnostic visit to confirm what is wrong; then we give you options for repair and a quote. Replacement quotes for a furnace, AC, or heat pump are free.

We service all brands, including Carrier, Trane, Rheem, and Goodman, and primarily install Lennox as a Lennox Dealer.

Booking It

Tune-ups are scheduled with room left in the week for repair calls, so booking early in the fall is how you can get a date you want.

We are open Monday to Friday, 7:30 to 4:30.

Call us during business hours. 828-761-3909
